Orthopaedic surgery,
examined for the record.
Dr. Kevin W. Louie is an orthopaedic surgeon who has transitioned from operative practice to independent medical examinations, expert witness testimony, and medicolegal consultation — retained by both defense and plaintiff counsel across California.
About
Dr. Louie built his career as an operating orthopaedic surgeon before shifting his focus to non-operative, consultative work. That clinical background — years spent evaluating fractures, joint reconstructions, and post-surgical complications from the inside of the operating room — now informs his work as a medical-legal consultant.
His practice centers on translating orthopaedic findings into clear, defensible opinions for the parties who rely on them: attorneys, insurers, and the courts. He is retained on both sides of a matter, providing defense expert testimony in some cases and independent medical examinations for plaintiff-side review in others.
